Littlehampton Swimming Club is SwimMark Accredited.
SwimMark accreditation, formerly Swim21, is SwimEngland’s recognised kitemark for the development of effective, ethical and sustainable affiliated clubs.
Littlehampton Swimming Club’s accreditation is that of a SwimMark Club Essential certificate for Skill Development, where the club develops swimmers’ technical skills within a programme of quality coaching and varied competition.
LSC’s SwimMark Co-ordinator brings together others from within the club, including head coach and committee members, to draw up a two year development plan. This is submitted to SwimEngland in the autumn. This two year plan sets out the club’s overall annual objectives from which are derived the club’s objectives for:
- Athlete Pathway
- Workforce Pathway
- Marketing & Communication
The management committee use this plan in setting and reviewing workflow in order to achieve the stated objectives and so better serve the needs of Littlehampton Swimming Club, its membership, workforce and wider community.
