23 Littlehampton swimmers competed in Crawley last weekend performing many great swims, most achieving new long course PBs. As a Level 1 event swims count in the rankings for the British Summer Championships and Home Nation Summer Nationals, so I have noted who is on the interim rankings. Of course all can change with more meets to come in the qualifying window. For further information see here:

Ashton Netherwood secured our only two Gold medals of the weekend in his 50 free and 50 back.

Tom Hogg won Silver in the 100 fly and Bronze in the 50 breast, whilst sister Kitty won Bronze in the 100 breast. Tom is currently ranked in his 50 breast for the Swim England Summer Nationals.

Our final medallist was Ella Thornburg who won Silver in the 50, 100 and 200 fly, plus Bronze in the 50 free. Ella is currently ranked in her 50 and 100 fly for the Swim England Summer Nationals.

Archie Strowger is registered as a Scottish swimmer. He is currently ranked in 7 events for the Scottish Summer Nationals.

It was a pleasure to see club member Calvin Fry, 14, there representing his school Millfield where he trains. Calvin won 1 Silver and 5 Gold medals, all in superb style! Calvin presently is ranked in 8 events for this year’s British Summer Championships.

Well done all!

With thanks to coach Tamsin Netherwood and team managers Emma Howell & Rachael McSporran.
