Congratulations to Emily Carman on her recent Biathle success and selection for the World Championships!

Emily, still just 9 years old, has been competing in Biathle and Aquathlon events. At the end of July she competed in the National Biathle Championships in Salford, finishing 6th in the 9-10yr age group (Youth E). She has now been selected to compete in the World Championships in Spain on 20th September. Wow! Congratulations Emily!

So what is Biathle?

Biathle involves swimming and running in a continuous run/swim/run format. The event begins with a pack start and there is a transition zone between the run and swim. The swim is often in open water and there are many events held throughout Great Britain each year, including a British Championship. You can find out more information here:
