Jess Frayne, Tom Hogg, Joe Greaves, Marcus Harvey, Archie Strowger, Ollie Iden & Will Le Merle all competed in the South East Regional Youth & MC Championships in High Wycombe over the weekend.

This competition is very tough to get into, the South East being the largest of the 8 regions (stretching West to Southampton, North to Milton Keynes and East to Canterbury) with the toughest entry times. Over 1200 swims were rejected from this meet. So well done to all of our swimmers who qualified!

All performed well, with para swimmers Joe and Marcus both winning medals in their Multi Classification (MC) events. These are decided on disability points, not age. Marcus won Silver in the 100 breast and 100 free, Bronze in the 200 free, 50 free and 200 IM with LC PBs in 5 of his 6 events. Joe won Gold in the 100 breast and 100 free, Silver in the 200 free, 100 back and 50 free.

Jess finished 13th in her 50 free with a season’s best LC time and Tom 17th in his 50 breast, 19th in his 50 fly.

Our Junior Boys team (14-16yrs) Tom, Archie, Ollie and Will did fantastically well. In their 4 x 100 free relay all four were a second faster than their LC PBs, producing a time over 4 seconds faster than their entry time and finishing two places higher than seeded in 17th. Their medley relay was also faster than their entry time, with a great finish by Archie, finishing in 19th.

Congratulations to you all!
